The Glimmering Tide is a weekly-ish offering from Louisa Flynn about nurturing a sense of hope against the backdrop of climate breakdown.

Drawing inspiration from everyday encounters with the natural world, whether that’s treading urban pavements on the school run, or weekend walks exploring the heaths, woodlands and coastline around Dorset, Louisa is interested in the nature immediately around, and within, us, not just as beautiful places to visit, but as essential aspects of being human.

Through a thoughtful narrative—a blend of creative non-fiction and poetry—Louisa seeks to uncover the deeper meanings behind her experiences in this time of ‘polycrisis’, with posts intended to serve as a reminder of the glimmers that surround us.

About Louisa Flynn

Louisa is a vibrant voice in the field of wellbeing, contributing to various publications, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in creative writing, where she is exploring her creative practice in new nature writing and eco-poetry.
